HEALING & DELIVERANCE – KERALA, INDIA 2019

In his introduction to the document on ‘Deliverance Ministry’ brought out by the Doctrinal Commission of International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (ICCRS) Council in Vatican, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life has stated: ‘Deliverance Ministry is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit that testify to the abundance of grace granted by God to the whole Church through Catholic Charismatic Renewal.’
The ICCRS document highlights the alarming situation where lack of understanding among Catholics, including priests, about devil and his strategies that has led to
(1) An unhealthy fear of the demonic realm,
(2) Catholics seeking help from spiritualists or shamans for relief from demons because the Church is not able to help them
(3) Catholics also turning to Pentecostal and independent charismatic ministries for help.
With a view to training priests in the ministry, the National Service Team is organizing a Seminar on Healing and Deliverance for Bishops and Priests from 11 to 14 February 2019 at the Divine Retreat Centre, Muringoor, Kerala. This will be led by Fr Etienne Veto (renowned professor of theology in Gregorian University in Rome who is also an expert on the topic of deliverance), Fr Pierre-Louis and Neal Lozano.
Invitation for the Seminar is being extended to Bishops and Priests of Asia-Oceania through the Service Teams in those countries.
