Charismatic Retreat, Bahrain

As I look back after a hectic week, I praise God for the mighty and mysterious ways of the Lord. The Lord is mighty and His mercies are new every morning. God moved in a mighty way in the heart of our Shepherd H.E Camillo Ballin who confirmed a few months back that Bahrain can have charismatic Retreats every year and they will be supported by the church authorities. The Catholics in Bahrain had an opportunity to have a Charismatic Retreat after many years .God made a new way for us.

We were blessed to have Rev. Fr. Joseph Eddattu from Divine retreat Centre UK with us for 10 days. God’s spirit began overflowing as Gods Word was spoken. The first Retreat was in English and was attended by 1200 parishioners. The Word of God preached kept every parishioner attentive for long hours, there was tremendous thirst among the congregation. The way the entire community attended in large numbers and for long hours was clear proof of the anointing that flowed. On The last day there was a mini night vigil until 12.00 midnight. It was a very anointed session and plenty of prophecies and anointed messages were recorded.

There was a special session for leaders conducted by Fr. Joseph Eddatu which was very fruitful. Fr. Joseph Eddatu also led a session in Malayalam and nearly 1000 members attended – t bore great fruit.

The way the entire community attended in large numbers and for long hours was clear proof of the anointing that flowed.

Positive feedback is still pouring in and we believe that the oil of joy and gladness is flowing through the land of Bahrain. Many of the parishioners experienced a personal touch of the Lord God’s mercy flowing from the Throne of Grace through Forgiveness. The Eucharistic Celebrations stood out unique. There is no other word for it – God is truly amazing and I believe that God has started something new in Bahrain.

God is such a personal and specific God and HE knows the hearts of his people.

We thank God for revealing His Glory to us. May this lead us to a deeper God experience in our personal and community lives. I end with this Biblical verse believing and claiming every WORD in Isaiah 55:11 “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it”
