Your hope of the resurrection isn’t just for the future when you physically die and go to heaven; it’s also for now, while you’re living on earth and struggling with sin

The Resurrection is more than just an event that happened once in history. It’s the source of the power you can experience in your own life, every day. The same resurrection power that brought Jesus from death to life is available to each one of us , and if you plug into it, you’ll see amazing transformation in your own life, too.
Our lives are empowered by the presence of Jesus . Each of us are filled with the mighty power of God who raised Jesus from the dead. St. Paul speaks to us about the Power of the Resurrection in Philippians 3:10. He writes these powerful words under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. “That I may know him and the Power of his Resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death”
Galatians 2:20 says “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” This verse has always been life changing to me – it is a truth I come to learn and believe as an absolute aid for my journey as a Christian. We are not only saved by His death but also by His life—and that means the risen Lord lives in us by His Holy Spirit and hence I can live the Christian life not in my own ability or strength, but because of the Divinity of Christ in Me. This is the Power that enables me to all things in Him.
Life is tough. This is no surprise to us, no matter how strong we think we are or how strong we pretend to be. Some of us are going through emotional difficulties. Some of us are going through physical issues. Some of us are going through relational issues. All of us are going through something. One of my all-time heroes of the Bible is St. Paul. His life and more importantly his witness speaks volumes of his disposition as went through trying and tough times. The Bible says St. Paul felt “crushed and overwhelmed beyond his ability to endure.” He got to the end of himself.
And yet, how did St. Paul get through that difficult time? St. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1:9, “But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead” In His difficult times St. Paul simply plugged into the Resurrection Power of Jesus.
In order to release His Resurrection Power into our lives all we need to have is HUMILITY, We need to admit we are weak and need His grace and His Power. In Humility we tell the Lord “You are God, and I’m not. You’re right, and I’m not. You have the power, and I don’t. You are wise, and I’m not. And I am powerless to change this situation, so I’m going to give it to you.”
The moment you do that, God brings the Resurrection Power of Jesus into your situation. Whatever is dead in your Life, God can breathe His Resurrection Power into it because God loves to turn crucifixions into Resurrections.
In order to release His Resurrection Power into our lives all we need to have is HUMILITY, We need to admit we are weak and need His grace and His Power.
Jesus changes lives. He has changed me and is continually changing me as well as millions of others through the generations. He continues to transform me each day as I begin my day and plug into his Power. He alone is able to transform the hateful and the angry into loving, caring people. He alone is able to change the selfish and self-centered into generous givers, He alone can transform the immoral into men and women of character.
The Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ raises us from the death of sin to a life of righteousness. Your hope of the resurrection isn’t just for the future when you physically die and go to heaven; it’s also for now, while you’re living on earth and struggling with sin.
Make use of that God-given power to help you overcome sin every day you’re alive. Through the Power of the Resurrection we are forgiven and transformed. We can overcome every temptation and endure every trial, thanks to His Power at work within us. The risen Christ lives in us day by day, enabling us to walk in victorious faith and obedience, giving us a brand new heart and a mind that sets itself on heavenly pursuits.
If God can raise the dead , If God can speak Life to the valley of dry dead bones and cause them to rise, know this: He can and will raise a dead relationship, a dead marriage, a dead career, a dead dream.
God can do anything.
May each of us live every day in the glorious reality of the Resurrection, relying on His Resurrection Power in our lives.
